About
Svetlin is one of the most prominent software engineers, tech educators, and IT ecosystem pioneers in Bulgaria. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Sofia University, specializing in software engineering, cryptography, and network security. He has authored over a dozen technical books on programming languages and data structures. Before launching SoftUni in 2013 alongside Hristo Tenev, he founded the Telerik Academy, which played a pivotal role in accelerating Bulgaria’s tech talent boom. Under his visionary guidance, SoftUni has grown into the largest tech and digital education provider in Southeast Europe, training hundreds of thousands of students in software development, digital marketing, and design. He is a frequent keynote speaker at regional tech forums, a regular supporter of student programming competitions, and actively mentors tech startups.
