About
Pavel is widely recognized as a pioneer of the venture capital and private equity industry in Bulgaria, bringing decades of international corporate finance experience. He holds a degree in Finance from Northeastern University, with further specializations from La Sorbonne and Vrije Universiteit. Early in his career, he served as the Executive Director of the InvestBulgaria Agency (2002–2004) and worked in the Investment Banking division of Deutsche Bank in London, later heading their Bulgarian corporate finance office in 2006. In 2007, he left banking to co-found NEVEQ, one of the very first major institutional venture capital firms in the region. Later, he launched Neo Ventures, a permanent capital vehicle targeting high-growth deep-tech, space infrastructure, robotics, and automation startups across Europe—recently managing notable regional funding expansions in tech and deep-tech sectors.
